Are you part of a community facing organization based in Uganda? Or have local community leaders that can meet us there for training?

Alternativ and The Remnant Generation plan to open their doors during their staff training to any and all organizations in the region to come learn about the Alternativ Business Essentials Course and how it can be used alongside existing programming to add to your organization’s long-term impact in your communities. Now’s your chance to add business training and empowerment to your community programs!

About the Alternativ Business Essentials Program

Alternativ partners with organizations all over the world to equip and empower their staff, volunteers, and other leaders to deliver a 40+ hour long business essentials curriculum and follow on mentorship program wherever they serve communities. It is designed to provide tools, education and support to those impacted by poverty, offering practical business skills to enable and inspire youth and families around the world to take charge of their financial futures. The training is practical, discussion/activity based and (as a greater benefit) inspires community cohesion, equality/inclusivity, and helps people from some of the marginalized communities become role models and influence government policy. Our ultimate goal is to develop entrepreneurial ecosystems wherever we and our partners train.

Our nonprofit and other partners in the U.S., El Salvador, Uganda, DRC, Nepal and across the globe have added to their impact by integrating our curriculum alongside existing vocational training, livelihood, youth, healthcare focused, empowerment and other programs supporting their communities. Our program has served as a catalyzing addition to initiatives focusing on microfinancing, business incubation, community savings groups, and more, while helping organizations maximize their impact and communities break dependence on foreign aid.
